Jutt Cyber Tech™ developed the J-Drop application suite as a free, open, and secure offline peer-to-peer file transfer utility. This SERVICE is provided by Jutt Cyber Tech™ and is intended for use as is. We believe privacy is a fundamental human right, and J-Drop is engineered from the ground up with a strict Zero-Knowledge, Zero-Collection architecture.

1. Zero Information Collection

Unlike mainstream file sharing apps that route your private documents through remote servers or harvest telemetric metadata, J-Drop does NOT collect, store, transmit, or monetize any user information whatsoever.

  • No Personal Identifiers: We do not require registration, login, phone numbers, email addresses, or usernames.
  • No Device Fingerprinting: J-Drop does not read, hash, or collect device hardware identifiers such as IMEI, Android ID, MAC address, advertising ID, or SIM serial numbers.
  • No File Metadata or Content Logging: We do not inspect, log, or track filenames, file extensions, file sizes, or contents transferred through the app.
  • No Location Tracking: J-Drop never accesses your GPS, geofencing, or cellular tower location.
  • No Usage Statistics or Telemetry: We do not embed diagnostic trackers, crash-reporting SDKs, or analytical measurement services.

2. 100% Offline Peer-to-Peer Transmission

All communication and data transfer orchestrated by J-Drop occurs strictly within your local, private subnet (Wi-Fi router, campus/office LAN, or mobile Wi-Fi hotspot):

  • No Cloud Intermediaries: J-Drop does not maintain any relay servers, central databases, or internet cloud infrastructure. Data is sent directly from the sender's local socket to the recipient's local socket.
  • Local Discovery (UDP Broadcast): To discover nearby peers on the same network, J-Drop broadcasts a lightweight UDP beacon over local port 53317. This broadcast never leaves your local subnet broadcast domain.
  • Direct Socket Transfer (TCP): File streams are piped directly between devices over local TCP port 53318. Because traffic is strictly local, transfers achieve maximum gigabit network speeds without consuming cellular or broadband data.
  • Complete Offline Operation: You can disconnect your router from the internet or create a standalone mobile hotspot without active cellular data — J-Drop functions completely and flawlessly without an internet connection.

3. Explicit Consent & Transfer Handshakes

J-Drop strictly enforces an explicit mutual-consent model:

  • Peer Approval Required: A sending device cannot force files onto another device. When an incoming file transfer request is initiated, the recipient's device displays an explicit confirmation dialog displaying the sender name, filename, and size.
  • User Authorization: If the recipient rejects or dismisses the prompt, the TCP connection is immediately closed and zero bytes are saved to storage.
  • QR Pairing Security: The desktop app generates an in-memory QR code containing only the PC's local IP address and port. Scanning the QR code simply allows the mobile device to establish a direct local handshake without manual IP entry.

4. Device Permissions & Transparency

To execute high-speed local transfers and seamless pairing, J-Drop requests minimal, essential system permissions on mobile and desktop platforms. Every permission is strictly confined to local app functionality:

  • Camera (Mobile App Only): Used strictly for scanning the local QR code displayed on the desktop screen. The camera stream is analyzed locally in volatile memory using ZXing. No video frames, photographs, or recordings are captured, saved, or uploaded anywhere.
  • Local Storage / Files Access: Required to enable you to browse and select files to send, and to save received files into your designated storage folder (e.g., Downloads/JDrop). The app only reads files you explicitly choose to transfer.
  • Wi-Fi & Network State: Used solely to inspect local network interfaces (Wi-Fi or Hotspot IP address) and establish local socket listeners.
  • Notifications: Used exclusively to inform you of file transfer progress, success, and incoming transfer requests while the app is active in the background.

5. Third-Party Services & Advertising

J-Drop contains zero third-party trackers, zero advertising SDKs, and zero external analytical integrations.

  • No Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or Mixpanel.
  • No Facebook Graph API or social trackers.
  • No Google AdMob, Unity Ads, or programmatic advertising networks.
  • No affiliate links or promotional beacons.

6. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)

Because J-Drop does not collect, request, or store personal information from any user, it is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and equivalent worldwide privacy statutes. J-Drop is completely safe for individuals of all ages.

7. Policy Revisions

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect future platform features or regulatory updates. Any changes will be published here with an updated effective date. However, our core philosophy of zero data collection and 100% offline local transfers will remain unchanged.
